With his head held high, Commandante Victor Lorenzo proudly patrols his "beautiful, beautiful country." The Dos Bocas region where Lorenzo is posted is like a peninsula of the Dominican Republic jutting into and surrounded on three sides by Haiti. At different times, this spit of land has been controlled by both nations, but while the land has been fought over, its people have been forgotten.
