Focusing on Delicate Work -The surgical field is reflected in the glasses of Trauma Director Dr. Timothy Hughes as he and another surgeon operate on a gunshot victim in the trauma center late one Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. While normally working alone, a pair of trauma surgeons was required to save this man's life due to the extremely severe injuries he suffered to the delicate and complex pancreas.
