Answering the Call - Although 10-year-old Mario Urbina's mother can scrape together enough money to pay for his school uniform and fees, her meager salary as a maid is not enough to lift the family of 11 out of poverty. Behind the dirt-floor shack they live in, is a pit latrine, where privacy amounts to nothing more than thin black plastic and soggy cardboard. Although it is not as glamorous as feeding the hungry or building a house, the call for basic sanitation is just as urgent and necessary for the poor.
